Volatility ETFs
There are currently 30 volatility and VIX index related exchange traded funds. These range between
volatility ETFs that offer long or bullish exposure to the VIX
index in its near and long term variations to ETFs that offer
inverse or short exposure to the VIX index, also in its near or
longer term durations. Among the many volatility exchange traded
funds available is a new breed that gives double (2x) long or
short (bearish) exposure to the VIX index. While we generally
refer to these products as ETFs they are in their majority ETNs
or exchange traded notes. Below is the most comprehensive
